For Grandma...3/6/1925-2/1/2010

Grandma Olga!

We Love and miss you very much
We know that you are happy to be in Grandpa's arms
We are grateful for the Love you have always shown to us
We will miss your giving heart
...but know that you have passed it on
We will make you very proud
We will keep you in our hearts'
We will see you again some day
We will PARTY the Sorensen Way. (hand and foot and food!)

During grandma's services I was able to learn a lot. though Dick and I have been married for for about 16months and known each for..well for a long time, I we have spent a lot of our time out of state and I didn't have a lot of time with Grandma. However, I do feel that I know her quite well. I remember the first time I met her and how even though I had slept on her lawn the previous night she welcomed right in to use her shower and feed me. Later that day as I twirled my hair in my fingers she said, "We have another one." She preceded to tell me how many of the members of the Sorensen family had the same habit. Though Dick and I were good friends at the time we weren't "dating" and I didn't know what to think about that statement.

I loved the feeling that even though I wasn't blood, I was already considered part of the family. She made a great impression on me each time that we visited. t every Christmas party even though there are always many people in attendance Grandma took time to let me know that she was glad that I could be there.

This last Thanksgiving she made it the Rappleye residence. Even though she wasn't feeling well, she played hand-and-foot with us and she mentioned to me that she was grateful to have the opportunity to get to know me a little better and spend some more time with us.

I am grateful for all of these experiences and I would like to share a few pictures from her service.
