4th!-(finally)

So Today I am Finally posting for the 4th of July! So Dick had to work! Not fun but they did get off early and Apx had a BBQ. However, We had already made plans to BBQ with our friends Kathleen, Kyle and Jake so we stoped by the BBQ and said Hi and then headed off to do our own thing! We went to Mount Trashmore and we took our little coleman grill and a whole feast for all of us to eat! We had to park forever away because the park was FULL of People!

So we are hauling all of our stuff to the park and we are almost there and Dick tells us he forgot a lighter to start the grill! SO we find a place to sit and then I trek over to the 7 eleven on the corner and stand in the 20 minute line to get into the store! I call Dick and try to get him to stand in the line with me. But he refused! and then I get the the door I am about to walk in and Kyle calls and tells me that they BORROWED a lighter! so I go back to our blanket and we started the BBQ- people all around were glaring in evny! we were the only one's smart enough to bring a grill and a bunch of food!

We then cooked and ate and talked and waited! Before the fireworks a couple more people from work joined us and helped us eat.There were fireworks all around that people were letting off so we had a prefirework show and then at 9:00 the Firework show began. it was a good show but it seemed short lived! So we were glad we ate to pass the time and didn't just wait around for the short show.

After the Fireworks we sat around for a little while waiting for the park to clear out and as we started leaving it began to RAIN! it was perfect and I loved every minute. I Love Rain! It was a good evening. oh and I made SUGAR COOKIES ALL by myself for the first time!
