Eight Months

8 months old! (his 245th day)

Silas is a cruiser. Yesterday I was trying to keep him out of things and as soon as I would move him across the room he would sneak back over to where he wasn't suppose to be. When he noticed that I was coming to get him again he moves even faster toward the 'forbidden' area. I just had to laugh and realize that this is the beginning to a lot of trouble!

It has been fun to see his personality develop the older he gets. He is generally a happy easy going little guy. He will play with his toys and talk (jabber) it is pretty cute. Also whenever he hears another baby talking he jabbers right back, even if he can't see them. He is such a social little guy. Recently my mom and I were out and I had Silas. We ran into someone that we new and Silas was so stinking cute with her. She was talking to him and he smiled and learned into me laid his head on my shoulder and smiled at her. Then he started to talk to her a little also.

Silas has started giving five (he loves this) and waving hi and bye (he does pretty good but is still working on it). He is starting to get pretty steady on his feet. He has been walking around furniture for quite some time now but he doesn't really like to stand. I think that this will be coming soon. He just wants to go and doesn't want to take the time to stand. He has started to let go while he is standing next to things. He falls shortly after but is making progress with this. He is also starting to give kisses! I Love this!

When he had an ear infection, the weekend of February 8th, I took him to the doctor and he weighed 19 lbs 8 oz. My little baby is getting big. Also during that week, from the Sunday prior to the following Sunday he got 4 teeth in. Bringing his total to 8 shining teeth. I was in shock every time I looked in his mouth! He has quite a handsome little smile!

We love our little man and I am trying to appreciate every moment I have with him. It is so hard when I get home from work and he has just gone down for a nap. I am always a little sad, because he is asleep when I leave. Days like that make me feel like I don't see him enough.
