I have been helping Richard with installs since I haven't been working myself. This means that I am using a drill. I hadn't really used a drill before this summer. (So thank you to those customers that have allowed me to use their houses as my learning experience.)
Anyway in this job I tend to get cuts on my hands and arms, mostly from screwdrivers. Well this last time it was not a screwdriver.
(this is about 3 days after it happened) sorry about the blur
The drill got me. I was drilling through a door frames and just my luck the house had wood paneling. (really almost every house in Arkansas has wood paneling) So I continue to push with my had against the frame and of course I am pushing on the drill with the other hand. So after a couple minutes of this the bit flies through the frame(and paneling) and into my finger. So the bit being hot and sharp, I was burned and cut at the same time. It didn't hurt at first but as time went on it started to sting.
It has been about five days now and it seems to be healing quite well.
