Valentine's Day and Monsters

I have been wanting to see Coraline, in fact I have been anticipating it! I read the book, well the Graphic Novel. I loved the story!

So as we were in the car, on Valentine's Day Eve, My Loving husband, Surprised me and took me to see it. It was the 3D version. There were a couple of things that I would have liked to have in the movie, but all in all it was Great! One of my favorites!

I would recommend that you stay away from the movie on Friday Nights though. Lots of teenagers that think they are funny during the movie. (they never stop talking)

I have been working on a couple of projects, I have completed two and will soon start the third. They are "monsters" for my nieces and nephew! I had them each (with the exception of Emmy) draw me a picture and I turned their picture into a stuffed animal. I have finished Ali, and Brody's and I will work on Erin's next. Her will give me the biggest challenge yet, considering it is not actually a monster, but a mermaid. I am loving them and all their faults!

Here are Ali and Brody's drawings. Ali's is a six legged Spider with ears! She has been really excited about it.

I think she liked the final product. It turned out pretty cute. She seemed to like the fact that it was her spider that she decorated. When I would see her she would always ask, "Did you finish my spider yet?" Well she Finally got him!

Brody didn't quite understand the process, and I did make a few pattern alterations. The little guy still turned out. I took him to Megan's to see if I she had some matching fabric. Brody wouldn't let me leave! He stood in front of the door and said, "I NEED MY MONSTER!" After a few minutes I got him to understand that his monster wasn't finished and he finally moved away from the door.

I had fun with these two and look forward to making Erin and Emmy's and We'll see what happens after that.
